Depth-oriented online therapy in English for adults in Japan
From ¥18,800 · 50–60 minutes · English, Japanese and Italian · Online across Japan and worldwide · No referral needed
Individual therapy at BeyondBleu is one-to-one work with a qualified therapist, held online by secure video. It is for adults and young adults who want more than symptom management — who want to understand themselves with clarity, depth and compassion, and to make changes that last.
You do not need a referral, a diagnosis, or a clear explanation of what is wrong. You can book a session online in a few minutes, or read about each clinician, their training and their languages on meet your therapists. BeyondBleu is a private practice, so sessions are paid for directly and are not covered by Japanese National Health Insurance.

You Don't Have to Know Exactly What's Wrong
Most people who come to therapy don’t arrive with a neat diagnosis or a clear presenting problem. They arrive because something has shifted — because they’re exhausted in a way that sleep doesn’t fix, because the same patterns keep repeating, because the life they’ve built doesn’t quite feel like theirs.
That is enough of a reason to begin.
At BeyondBleu, individual therapy is neither standardised nor rushed. We work with you to understand not just what is happening, but why — the emotional architecture underneath the presenting difficulty, and what a genuinely different way of living might look like.

The Expat Dimension
Living abroad changes you in ways that are hard to explain to people who haven’t done it.
The sustained effort of navigating a different language. The loneliness that arrives even in a crowded city. The identity question of not quite belonging anywhere — not fully there, not fully home. The pressure to appear grateful and functional even when you are quietly running on empty.
Expat mental health has a particular texture, and the right therapist understands it from the inside. Our team has lived cross-cultural lives and worked with international clients for years. We do not require you to translate or explain the context — we already understand it.
How It Works
Sessions are 50–60 minutes and are held online by secure video. No referral is needed. You book directly and pay at the time of booking; a secure link and a reminder are sent to you automatically. If you are not sure which therapist suits you, write to us briefly and we will guide the match.
What a first session is like. Your therapist will ask what has brought you now, what has already been tried, and what you would like to be different. You decide how much detail to give. Nothing has to be explained perfectly. By the end you should have a clear sense of how your therapist understands the difficulty and what a course of work might involve. If another clinician or another kind of care would suit you better, we will say so.
Who this suits, and who it does not. This work suits adults and young adults who can attend regularly and want to understand the pattern underneath the symptom. It is less likely to suit you if you need urgent or crisis care, if you are currently at risk of harming yourself, or if you need in-person psychiatric care or medication management. BeyondBleu is a private online practice and is not an emergency service.
