How Brandon works

Brandon Liu is a US-licensed psychotherapist who works with individuals and couples seeking meaningful, lasting change. Warm, thoughtful, and highly engaged, Brandon helps clients make sense of difficult emotions and relationship patterns, feel more secure in themselves and their relationships, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

For couples, Brandon helps partners who feel stuck in recurring conflict, emotionally disconnected, or unsure how to find their way back to one another. He has particular experience supporting couples through communication difficulties, infidelity and betrayal, loss of trust, and uncertainty about the future of their relationship.

In individual therapy, Brandon works with clients navigating relationship difficulties, life transitions, identity, emotional challenges, and periods of feeling lost or stuck. His approach goes beyond managing symptoms, helping clients better understand themselves, their emotional needs, and the patterns shaping their relationships and choices.

A multicultural perspective

Taiwanese-Japanese-American and raised across the United States and abroad, Brandon brings a naturally multicultural perspective to his work. He has a particular understanding of international and cross-cultural relationships, cultural identity, family expectations, and the experience of living between different cultures.

Training and credentials

Brandon holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University and is certified in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), an evidence-based, attachment-focused approach to creating stronger and more secure relationships.
